Enjoy an enchanting evening of jazz, blues, and original compositions on June 17th. Musical theatre writer, composer, and theatre artist, Anton Lipovetsky, teams up with a gifted, emerging singer, Michelle Perkins-Zalik. This concert features a seasoned artist, and introduces a promising singing talent, both of whom ensure a memorable performance.
Eric Hamber Alumni, Anton Lipovetsky, has donated his time and original materials for a one-night concert with Eric Hamber graduate Michelle Perkins-Zalik, and to support her upcoming studies of music and voice at the Berklee College of Music. Prior to this, he had only heard her sing twice, including her leading role as Eliza from “My Fair Lady”, in her high school musicals. Anton was ecstatic when he learned she had been accepted into the prestigious Boston school. He was so impressed with her musical talent that he knew he needed to help ensure that she would be able to attend and explore her singing potential at Berklee, despite the high financial cost. To that end, he embarked on putting together a concert, donating the proceeds and his time to this cause.
Michelle has been singing since the age of ten, and has been working hard at her passion with a singing coach, through performance and musical theatre, and choral groups. Berklee College of Music has been her dream school for quite some time, and attending the school will be an extremely formative and life-changing experience.
Come support their work, and the future of Michelle Perkins-Zalik’s education and career, on June 17th at 8pm at the Cultch Historic Theatre. Tickets are limited!
