Bug is a physical theatre solo performance about a young indigenous woman and her journey through addiction and inter-generational trauma. Using movement, poetry and prose, a story is told of a woman grappling with a painful past of abandonment, cycling through the foster care system and what she can do to try and raise her child the way she wasn’t. Her addictions grow and begin to manifest themselves as Manidoons (Ojibwe word for bug insect or worm) and she is pushed beyond the brink as this creature burrows beneath her skin.
