Lightning Dust is the musical project of Amber Webber and Joshua Wells. Webber’s unmistakable voice — at once vulnerable and powerfully self-assured — and Wells’ obsessively detailed production provide constant threads that connect music that otherwise thrives on the spirit of change. Since 2007, Lightning Dust has kept their music on the very edge of their abilities, always with an eye towards uncharted sonic spaces, channeling the light of inspiration that keeps us dancing, creating and loving in spite of the encroaching darkness. For their upcoming Soft Cedar performance, Lightning Dust will premiere new music and re-work choice selections from the past decade. An expanded lineup of guest instrumentalists will allow Vancouver audiences to hear the band like never before.
