About
The heart of The Cultch, our original 200-seat theatre has been home to hundreds of local and international dance, music, and theatre performances over the past four decades. Our 2008 renovations transformed the beloved space into a state-of-the-art theatre while still retaining the memories of performances past.

About

The Vancity Culture Lab, or C-Lab as we like to refer to it, was added to The Cultch during our 2008 renovations. This black box studio is a cinderblock construction with the latest in acoustical properties and has been referred to as the best “blackout” room in the city.

About

Rescued from demolition and fully restored, this 100-year-old historical jewel is The Cultch’s newest venue. The York runs primarily as a rental venue, accessible to artists and community groups. The York’s restoration, when combined with The Cultch’s Historic Theatre, Vancity Culture Lab, and restaurants, studios and other amenities on Commercial Drive, has solidified the area as a major cultural district.

Gallery at The Cultch
About

The Gallery at The Cultch is a community focused space dedicated to providing progressive art to the residents of Vancouver’s East Side. It consists of two spaces, the Cafe Hallway and Lobby, and exhibits 20 – 30 artists every year. Like The Cultch itself, The Gallery’s mandate is to contribute to the enrichment of our city and community’s social and cultural life. Our particular goal is to create a strong visual art presence in the area and to engage the community with new contemporary art from established and emerging artists.
