About
Comedy on The Drive is back — and bigger than ever! Presented by the Commercial Drive Business Society, this year’s event returns to East Van’s historic York Theatre on Saturday, October 25th, with two hilarious shows in one night.
Get ready to laugh the night away with a powerhouse lineup of four of the funniest comedians around: local favourite and TV actor John Perrotta, award-winning storyteller Chris Griffin, Canadian comedy legend Damonde Tschritter — the first Canadian to win the Seattle International Comedy Competition — and fast-talking New Yorker Jimmy Della Valle, known for his rapid-fire jokes and fearless improv. With sharp wit, outrageous stories, and world-class performances, this night promises wall-to-wall laughter.
And the fun doesn’t stop at the theatre. Laugh and dine on The Drive! Ticket holders can show their Comedy on The Drive ticket at participating restaurants to enjoy exclusive offers before or after the show. Stay tuned — participating locations will be announced soon at
thedrive.ca/comedy2025.
Meet the line up

John Perrotta is a charismatic storyteller, actor, and writer from Vancouver whose down-to-earth humour connects with audiences everywhere. A touring headliner across North America, he has shared the stage with legends including Robin Williams, Ron Funches, and Jay Pharoah. On screen, John has appeared in Supergirl, The X-Files, ABC’s The Crossing, Italian Family Christmas with Beau Bridges, and as Angelo “Quack Quack” Ruggiero in The
Victoria Gotti Story. With blue-collar roots and a knack for spinning outrageous stories, John always leaves audiences howling.

Chris Griffin lives life like it’s one big story — and lucky for us, he’s one of Canada’s best comedic storytellers. After quitting his job and selling his house to pursue comedy, Griffin has taken his bold, wild tales to stages across North America. He’s a winner of the Vancouver Comedy Competition, a finalist at the San Francisco International Comedy Competition, and a regular at Just For Laughs Northwest. Griffin has opened for comedy icons like Norm MacDonald and Doug Stanhope, and his full-length special Words Have Consequences is available now on 800 Pound Gorilla Media.

Damonde Tschritter is a Canadian comedy legend — and the first Canadian ever to win the prestigious Seattle International Comedy Competition. Called “comedy’s new superhero” by The Globe and Mail, Damonde is celebrated for his one-of-a-kind storytelling and effortless stage presence. His career highlights include one-hour specials on both CBC and CTV, appearances on HBO, Comedy Central, and The Debaters, plus tours with the Snowed In Comedy Tour, Canada’s largest comedy circuit. He’s shared the stage with Robin Williams, Bob Saget, and Tim Allen, and his newest album Comic’s Delight is streaming everywhere.

Jimmy Della Valle is a fast-talking New Yorker whose rapid-fire jokes, character voices, and fearless improv have made him a must-see headliner. With more than 15,000 performances across all 50 states and abroad, he’s entertained audiences at comedy
clubs, colleges, corporate events, cruise ships, and military bases worldwide. Jimmy created and starred in the sitcom Not For Nothin’ on Amazon Prime, and his screen credits include The Sopranos, Sex and the City, My Name is Earl, and America’s Got Talent. His Dry Bar special Famous Nobody has earned over 5 million views.
