Silent St. J (Guitar: Singer/Songwriter)

Silent St. j, perfectly marries Alternative Folk and ethereal vocals creating an emotional resonance with their music. They have the ability to enchant listeners with honest and captivating lyrics and their hauntingly soothing voice. Silent St. j sparks a sense of wonder in the hearts of any audience, taking listeners on a journey through the liminal spaces of their mind.

As a child, Silent St. j often spent their time lost in the depths of their thoughts and dreams. Inspired by films, they would imagine narratives to escape their reality, and began writing songs as a means to accompany the surreal movies they had playing in the back of their mind. To this day Silent St. j continues to use this method to create their music, but now using it to explore and understand the intricacies of their neurodiversity, mental health, and the vastness of their emotions. By blending their introspective lyrics, gentle guitar picking, and a voice of velvet, Silent St. j invokes a hypnotic ambiance to produce their songs.

Their website is at https://www.silentstj.com and you can check out their songs Bandages at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tefr9_NVJHY.
EN 1
ember*night – Idol Group: ember*night is a local Asian-Canadian indie idol group. We are entirely self produced; everything form our songwriting to our choreography to our video editing is done on our own. Our music has themes of wonder and fantasy, both light and dark.

Inspired by the idol groups of K-Pop and other Asian music scenes, we have adopted the label of “idol” to convey our focus on fantasy and spectacle, our desire to connect with our audience through our performance, and our attempt to reach out to our cultures from which we have become disconnected and with which we no longer grow in parallel. Having grown up finding connection with our own idols, ember*night is both a celebration of old dreams and an expedition into finding new ones.
