The Cultch acknowledges that it is on unceded territories belonging to the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.
The heart of The Cultch, our original 200-seat theatre has been home to hundreds of local and international dance, music, and theatre performances over the past four decades. Our 2008 renovations transformed the beloved space into a state-of-the-art theatre while still retaining the memories of performances past.
The Historic Theatre is a proscenium stage with a raked audience chamber and balcony. This space is ideal for dance and theatre performances, solo talks and acts.
Bikes: There is ample parking for bicycles located right beside our Box Office. For cars, we have a
complimentary parking lot behind the building.

Balcony: The balcony is not accessible, but all other areas are accessible. The elevator is not for public use. The main level is accessible without an elevator.
Accessible Seating: The Historic Theatre is wheelchair accessible. Support persons accompanying patrons who require assistance to attend a performance will receive a complimentary ticket. There are two designated wheelchair spots in the front row. Please notify our box office team to reserve.
Assisted Listening: Listening devices are available in all Cultch venues on a first come first serve basis. To reserve a listening device, please inform our box office or let us know on your arrival.
Seats: Seats in the Historic have armrests. Theatre fold-down seats: 16” high x 18” wide. Non-movable. Folding chairs at the sides may allow a guide dog to sit under the chair. Please contact the Box Office to notify them.
