APR 16–MAY 11

Join the joyful resistance!

About

Come and be a part of the Warrior Festival at The Cultch in East Vancouver, where joy is an act of resistance and every artist is a warrior! Combining razor-sharp comedy with bold and expansive theatre, the Warrior Festival invites you to be part of something bigger than entertainment.

Five fierce and funny shows take centre stage at our York Theatre, Historic Theatre, and Vancity Culture Lab this April and May. These works strengthen acts of defiance with scenes of radical joy.

The Warrior Festival celebrates the strength of women and gender-expansive artists who are reclaiming space, rewriting narratives, and advocating for justice from the stage to the street. Together, let’s rebuild community and envision a liberated future.

Cue the rebellion, the show is about to begin.

Welcome Letter

MESSAGE FROM HEATHER AND NICOLE

Since our founding in 1973, The Cultch has been celebrating the work of women and gender-expansive artists. This year, we continue that work by launching the Warrior Festival—a festival to celebrate artists creating powerful, liberating work that elevates the conversations happening on and off the stage. This festival, an evolution of our Femme Festival, will be a platform for radical creativity that challenges the status quo, redefines power, and amplifies voices that have been marginalized.

Executive Director, The Cultch
